- Below 20ng/ml is considered insufficient for vitamin D.
- RDA for vitamin D is 600IU.
Based on previous studies, it has been concluded that only 25.7% of the patients are having levels of vitamin D above 30ng/ml. The rest of the patients are deficient in vitamin D. So it can be concluded that women with a sufficient level of vitamin D have more chances to test positively for pregnancy.

- Preeclampsia (a high blood pressure).

Research has shown that a dose of 2000-4000 IU of vitamin D is safe and perfect for mother and baby during pregnancy. One thing that should be kept in mind that newborns are largely dependent on maternal vitamin D.
So, people living in darker and shady places are at high risk of vitamin D deficiency.
