7 Week Pregnancy Symptoms

7 Week Pregnancy Symptoms

Every pregnancy is different but there are some common early symptoms of pregnancy that most expecting mothers can expect. It’s important to note that some women do not experience any symptoms in the first few weeks. The following is a list of common 7 week pregnancy symptoms:

1. Nausea and Vomiting

Normal morning sickness often starts around 6-7 weeks pregnant, but it can appear as early as 4 weeks. You may feel a queasy feeling in the pit of your stomach, accompanied by nausea and vomiting. Taking prenatal vitamins, eating small meals and avoiding oily foods may reduce the symptoms.

2. Breast Changes

By 7 weeks pregnant, you may begin to experience changes in your breasts. You may notice more fullness, tenderness and some darkening of the nipples and surrounding skin. This is due to your increase in hormones and blood flow to the area.

3. Fatigue

You may be extra tired in the first few weeks of pregnancy, and this feeling may continue into the 7th week. This is due to your body working overtime to accommodate the growing baby and a surge in hormones. Make sure to get plenty of rest and take naps whenever possible.

4. Cramps

Cramping is also common in the early weeks of pregnancy. This is due to your uterus stretching and can range from slight twinges to sharper pains. Experiencing cramps at this time is usually nothing to worry about, but you should contact your doctor if the pain is severe or if it is accompanied by bleeding.

5. Spotting

Some women experience light spotting and/or cramping in the first few weeks of pregnancy. This is due to the embryo implanting itself in the uterine wall and is perfectly normal. However, if the spotting is heavy or persistent, you should contact your doctor.

6. Mood Swings

Mood swings are common during pregnancy and may become more apparent in the 7th week. Hormone levels will be fluctuating, contributing to feelings of sadness, irritability, and anxiety. It’s important to take some time for yourself and take breaks when needed.

7. Food Cravings

At 7 weeks pregnant, you may start to experience sudden and intense food cravings. This can range from a craving for a specific food, such as pickles, to craving a certain type of food, such as carbohydrate-based. Eating small, healthy meals throughout the day can help curb these cravings and keep them under control.

These are the main symptoms that pregnant women may experience in the seventh week of their pregnancy. While every pregnancy is different, these are some of the most common symptoms to watch out for. If you experience any of these symptoms, remember to relax and take care of your body as you go through this exciting and life-changing journey!
